Songsheng Optoelectronics Laser Soldering Control System Empowers Customized Automated Production Line Requirements

The V2.0 soldering controller independently developed by Songsheng Optoelectronics is a laser welding control, debugging, and testing software. This system features welding process testing, laser welding, and the collection, monitoring, and recording of relevant data generated during operation, with real-time data logging capabilities. The software also includes analytical functions to process the related data, significantly enhancing the user experience for customers.

The system primarily consists of three modules: the main system interface, the system parameters interface, and the process parameters interface.

  1. System Main Interface (Laser Welding Interface)

Upon launching the software, the system defaults to the Main Interface, where operators can run the system software and perform relevant operations by clicking the corresponding buttons.

When the operator connects the touchscreen of the soldering control system to the laser device and powers on the display, the "System Main Interface" window will automatically pop up, as shown in the figure below:

The top section of the interface displays real-time status curves for temperature, electrical power, and optical power, distinguished by different colors. The lower section allows the selection of process numbers, parameter downloading, and welding operations. For solder wire control, operators can choose between continuous motion and point-to-point motion modes, with adjustable movement distances of 0.1mm, 1mm, or 10mm.

  1. Process Parameters Interface

Click "Switch to Process Parameters" on the main interface to enter the parameter configuration screen. Operators can adjust settings by clicking the corresponding buttons, as shown in the figure below:

This interface is usually filled in by the prototyping engineer based on the sample prototyping situation of the customer's product. The working modes include three options: temperature, electrical power, and optical power, followed by setting their respective power, temperature and time parameters. For wire feeding welding applications, it is necessary to fill in required parameters such as wire feeding/retracting time, length, and speed.

  1. System Parameters Interface

Click "Switch to System Parameters" on the main interface to enter the process parameter configuration interface. Operators can perform corresponding operations by clicking the relevant buttons as needed. See the figure below:

This interface allows viewing and modifying laser parameters, including temperature P/I/D settings, emissivity, transmittance and minimum power threshold. For standard processes, operators typically adjust PID parameters, emissivity and power threshold based on sample prototyping requirements, while the transmittance value remains as the laser's default parameter.

The controller features a compact touchscreen design with external mouse control capability, offering simple and intuitive operation suitable for specially customized automated production lines. It can replace traditional industrial PCs (for applications without motion control requirements) - users only need to preset the welding parameters in the system to complete automated welding processes.
